- Panel 1: The historical, cultural and geo-political dimensions of the China/EU relations
- Panel 2: The economic drivers of the China/EU relations
- Panel 3: Access to and trade in critical minerals
- Panel 4: Competition and trade in advanced technology products
- Panel 5: Industrial subsidies and policy of China and the EU
- Panel 6: Digital trade between the EU and China
- Panel 7: China/EU efforts and cooperation to salvage the multilateral trading system
The May 2026 conference was the first of what we hope will be a series of Xi’an Dialogue conferences on the China-EU economic relations, bringing together Chinese and European experts, academics, and (former) senior government officials to discuss the issues that divide and unite China and the EU. Our aim is to find common ground on which to build the future bilateral relationship between China and the EU. We are currently planning, and looking for funding, for a second Xi’an Dialogue conference on 28 and 29 May 2027. Please let us know if you would be interested in attending this conference by contacting Ms. YANG Yang at yang77@xjtu.edu.cn. We look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
