Virtual Conference on Dispute Settlement in International Trade Agreements: Prospective Pathways

We are pleased to inform you that a virtual conference on Dispute Settlement in International Trade Agreements: Prospective Pathways scheduled to be held on 10-11 February 2022. The conference is being organised by CTIL, an Indian government think-tank and advisory centre on trade and investment laws, in collaboration with RGNUL, Punjab, one of the leading national law schools in India.
We have a distinguished list of speakers for sessions on dispute settlement in regional trade agreements (RTAs) and for special addresses, including former WTO Appellate Body chairpersons, world-renowned professors of trade law and investment law, senior government officials and experienced trade law practitioners.
They will speak on dispute settlement in North American, Asia-Pacific and European Union trade agreements and emerging trends in ISDS in the investment chapters of trade agreements. There are two discussions scheduled at the conference, with one focused on designing the architecture of dispute settlement in trade agreements from an Indian perspective and the other focused on introspection on lessons learnt from the past in dispute settlement in international trade law.
