At this webinar — the second in the series on the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) — experts will discuss the implications of eliminating investor-state dispute settlement between the United States and Canada and significantly reducing its scope for U.S. investors in Mexico. They will also attempt to provide preliminary responses to the question, “Will weaker investment protection result in less foreign investment in Mexico and Canada, and greater investment in the United States?”
This event is part of a series of five webinars on the USMCA, co-sponsored by the Center for the United States and Mexico and Haynes and Boone, LLP. Each webinar in the series will feature outstanding experts from the United States, Mexico and Canada and will provide viewers with up-to-date information on the progress, successes and challenges of putting the USMCA’s provisions into practice.
