Jose Bove is advocating use of the WTO DSB by African states to attack the EU's agricultural policies.
"African government leaders and heads of state have to attack the European Union in the tribunal of the World Trade Organization for the distortion and destruction of their local economies," the peasant leader told a meeting in the Mali capital Bamako."
While there are important concerns regarding the utility of the WTO dispute settlement system for poor countries, it is good to see Bove recognize that the WTO can be part of the solution.
