To the SIEL Community:
In light of the evolving situation regarding the COVID-19 crisis, the SIEL Executive Council has decided to postpone the 2020 SIEL Conference, which was schedule to take place in July 2020 at Bocconi University in Milan. We have not taken this decision lightly, but given recent developments and the guidance from various national and international bodies, it is the only decision we felt we could take.
While the biennial global conferences are important events for SIEL and its members, the inconvenience of the postponement of such a conference pales in comparison with the pain, cost and disruption COVID-19 inflicts around the world to individuals, families, organisations and businesses.
We would like to express our appreciation to all those who have committed countless hours to what promised to be an exciting 2020 Conference. This includes our colleagues at Bocconi University and the members of our conference committee.
We wish you, your families and loved ones all the best for the months ahead and look forward to seeing you at the SIEL 2021 Conference.
