From the University of Ottawa:
The Common Law Section invites applications for three tenure-track positions, commencing at the level of Assistant Professor. A more experienced candidate may be considered for a position at a higher level. Applicants currently employed in legal education elsewhere are encouraged to contact the Dean directly and in confidence for further information.
Subject to approval by the University, the available positions are expected to be filled within the 2015-2016 academic year. The positions are intended to commence on July 1, 2015 or on July 1, 2016, but requests for a deferred starting date will be entertained on a case-by-case basis. The faculty is seeking a candidate with expertise in:
- Aboriginal and Indigenous Law (with particular interest in Indigenous legal traditions)
- Public Law
- International Trade and Investment Law
These tenure-track positions are in either the French Common Law Program, taught in French; the English Common Law Program, taught in English; or both. Understanding an Indigenous language would be an asset in respect of the Aboriginal law posting.
