So what's in it? Way too much to discuss quickly, especially since I just returned last night from a conference over in Prague. But any of you IP experts out there should feel free to weigh in.
How about the politics of it? Here's Tim Lee of the Washington Post:
It wouldn't be unprecedented for concerns about patent and trademark issues to derail the larger TPP treaty. Last year, in the wake of a populist backlash against the Stop Online Piracy Act in the United States, European activists stopped ratification of the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement in the European parliament.
Will release of the text help supporters of stronger IP protection make their case for why all these provisions are necessary? Or will it stir up the opposition and undermine the agreement?
